Kathryn Harris will portray slave-turned-abolitionist Harriet Tubman in a program set for 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 2, in the PAC Studio Theatre. The event and a reception immediately following are presented by Friends of Brookens Library and are free and open to the public.
As a conductor on the Underground Railroad before the Civil War, Tubman made 19 trips into the South and helped more than 300 slaves – including her own parents -- escape to the North. Read more>>
