UIS to host display of AIDS Memorial Quilt

UIS will host a display of the Names Project AIDS Memorial Quilt from February 10 through 15 in the LRH Great Room. Display hours will be 6 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, February 10; 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, February 11 to 14; and 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, February 15.

An enormous quilt made as a memorial to and celebration of the lives of people who died of AIDS-related causes, the Names Project AIDS Memorial Quilt is the largest public art project in the world and has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize. UIS will display six blocks of the quilt; each block is a 12-foot square comprising six individual panels. Read more>>
