Dr. David Ward, president of the American Council on Education, will present the 26th David Dodds Henry Lecture at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 3, in Brookens Auditorium. Dr. Ward's topic will be "Higher Education and the Global Knowledge Economy: Affordability and Accountability Redefined."
Since 1972, the David Dodds Henry lectures have presented noted educators speaking on topics related to the theory, philosophy, and/or practice of the administration of higher education. The lectures honor David D. Henry, who served as chief executive officer of the University for 16 years, from 1955 until his retirement in 1971. UIS last hosted the lecture in 2005. Read more>>
