New Internet radio station begins webcasting on campus

The Prairie Star, a new 24-hour Internet radio station, began broadcasting February 14 from the UIS campus.

Jim Grubbs, associate professor of Communication, said that the new station is not connected to the NPR affiliate WUIS 91.9 FM. "The Prairie Star was created specifically to provide a learning venue and creative outlet for UIS students," he said.
